Arkhe for iPhone & iPad · Last updated July 3, 2026
Short version: Arkhe has no backend of its own. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal data. Your settings stay on your device, and your conversations go directly to the IRC servers you choose.
Arkhe is a standalone app. We do not operate any server that receives your data, and the app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third‑party tracking SDKs. There are no Arkhe accounts. We never see your messages, your credentials, or how you use the app.
Your server settings and app preferences are stored locally on your device. Passwords, SASL credentials, and client‑certificate passphrases are stored in the iOS Keychain — the system’s encrypted credential store — never in plain text. This information stays on your device and is used only to connect to the servers you configure.
Arkhe is an IRC client. When you connect, your nickname, messages, and connection metadata are sent directly to the IRC server or bouncer that you choose and configure. Those services are operated by third parties and are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. We are not involved in, and have no access to, those connections.
If you configure a custom file uploader and choose to upload an image or file, that file is sent directly from your device to the upload endpoint you configured. We do not operate that endpoint and do not receive your files.
We do not sell, share, or disclose your data — because we do not collect it.
Arkhe is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
